It was important to this client that their house appear from the front to be smaller that it was, and that it be designed in an American Georgian style. Considering the amount of heated area, this was no small task.
Nearly 6,000 square feet are included in the house and attached shop (far right of top photo.) The house is oriented to catch morning light on the terrace and spill it into the Master Suite, the Kitchen, and the Loggia. The four masonry fireplaces provide design focus on the interior, as well as scale, proportion and interest on the exterior. |
